Chongqing Shizhu Coptis Chinensis Co., Ltd.(CSCC) is located on the famous hometown of rare Chinese herbal medicine "rhizoma coptisdis"——Huangshui town,Shizhu County,Chongqing China, which is the leading enterprise and GAP implementer of Shizhu rhizoma coptisdis industrialization under Chongqing Agri-industrial-commercial Corporation.
Established in 1958,CSCC is a large-sized national reclamation farms integrating the production, process, R&D and export of rhizoma coptisdis, together with full development of forestry, sideline production and fishing, and comprehensive operation of agriculture, industry and commerce. The main business scope included rhizoma coptisdis and else medical materials ,water shield ,capsicum, and other local typical products.
Holding 5,533 hectares production area and 233 hectares perennial plantation of rhizome coptisdis, CSCC annually replants & harvests 47 hectares of rhizoma coptisdis with output of over 150 tons. With the adoption of the mechanism of "Company+Base+Farmers",CSCC set up rhizoma coptisdis GAP planting base of 3,333 hectares in 6 production enterprises and 16 towns, and thus keep annual output of over 1,500 tons, accounting for 60% in China and about 40% in the world. In addition, CSCC have set up the sole rhizoma coptisdis GAP base inspection center in China at Huangshui Town, Shizhu County, in charge of rhizoma coptisdis biological environmental inspection and product quality inspection.
