Company Profile
Shanghai Procomp Informatics was founded at Shanghai Pudong in March 2003, is one of the subsideries of Procomop Informatics sales and Marketing global network. Procomp Informatics Ltd. was founded in 1991 with a capital of 5 million NT dollars. Procomp is the first manufacturer in Taiwan to successfully mass produce GaAs epitaxy and the production premises is located at the Hsinchu Science-based Industrial Park (HSIP) Taiwan. III-V compounds that feature high output efficiency, low electricity consumption, high electron mobility, high temperature resistance. The application range of the III-V compounds includes wireless communication systems, fiber optics, handsets, satellite direct broadcast programs, automotive collision avoidance radar system etc. Procomp is also the only overseas collaboration partner of Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. Japan in the compound semiconductor domain. Through a diverse system of strategic alliance. Procomp is one of the few specialized compound manufacturers that possess both MBE and MOCVD production technologies concurrently. Products include microwave devices such as PHEMT, MESFET, and HBT, and optoelectronic devices such as LD, PD, APD, and VCSEL. Microwave devices are shifting towards daily and commercial uses and are increasingly popular. Currently Procomp is providing widely mobile solutions including IEEE 1394, WLAN, Mobile storage, energy management system, handheld devices and digital camera. The two main frameworks of the business development are compound semiconductor businesses and mobile solution businesses.
Procomp is one of the top three compound epitaxy manufacturers in the world, and was officially listed at TaiEx in December 1999. The current capital is 3.429b NTD (circa. 857m RMB).
